# Converter

Sheets can automatically detect and convert DeluxeMenus configuration files into its native format.

### Automatic Detection

When a DeluxeMenus file is loaded, Sheets will:

1. Detect that the file is in the DeluxeMenus format.
2. Convert it into the Sheets format.
3. Automatically save the converted format back to the file.

### How to Convert

Simply place your DeluxeMenus files into the `plugins/Sheets/menus/` folder and run `/sheets reload`.

### Supported Conversions

* Menu settings (title, size, inventory type).
* Buttons and items.
* [Requirements](/features/requirements.md) (view and click).
* [Actions](/features/actions.md) (player and console commands).
* Placeholder syntax conversion.

### Why Use the Converter?

* **Ease of Transition**: Move your existing menus from DeluxeMenus to Sheets with minimal effort.
* **Unified Support**: Take advantage of Sheets' Bedrock form support for your existing menus.
* **Modern Features**: Use new features like Chest Edit Mode and Anvil input with your converted menus.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://sheets.bed.codes/features/converter.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
